The Studienkolleg of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1991.
At the Studienkolleg, foreign applicants of different national origins, with different religious and political convictions and with different educational backgrounds are prepared together for the same goal: to study at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and delegating universities in Saxony.

Tasks of the preparatory college
  1. to provide foreign applicants with a foreign higher education entrance qualification with the language and subject knowledge required for higher education studies in the Federal Republic of Germany
  2. to familiarize applicants with the academic methods commonly used at German universities
  3. to take the assessment test (FSP) and the DSH

No external examinations (FSP/DSH) are conducted at the Studienkolleg of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
